Being able to have any car he wants matters zero.

The simple fact is this - he is a 17 year old kid who simply has bigger toys. This EXACT scenario happens everyday and we do not hear about it. When Chad went down no1 said, "well, it's okay Chad bc you don't have access to tracks when you want and can't buy any car you want."

People are making a big deal about it b/c he is semi-famous. PERIOD. People are simply star-struck.
You are missing my point entirely, put your guard down for a second and listen. Of course he doesnt have access to tracks when they are closed, thanks for pointing out the obvious. What I am trying to say is, most of the time people street race/drive crazy on the street/speed because they have no way of getting it out of their system at a track. So be it because they dont have the money nor are they close to one. However Nick Hogan, can go to almost any track he pleases with his car and have his "fun" and get his crazyiness out in a safe environment where he will hurt nobody but himself. Why the hell are you bringing Chad into this? He has nothing to do with this conversation, and his wreck was partially due to a mechanical failure on his car (if I read correctly from a while back). So if Nick Hogans throttle got stuck, then fine, he has an excuse. Its already been stated a million times already he was speeding, but we dont know why and for what reason. Either way, it does matter that he is able to have any car he wants. When people work for what they have, they respect it, and they respect the power that comes with it.

Well, I'm personally glad the topic has moved to why and for what reason rather than "I hope this rich bitch and his friend die for being rich and tool bags and rich and a wrastler and especially for driving a yellow car.............."

That's a little more on topic.

I think he did it because he has access to do it. Like baby J said, bigger toys. If all he had a a Mongoose, I'm sure he'd do some dumb shit on that, too.

You KNOW better. How many times have we raced/made pulls ON THE WAY to the track or ON THE WAY BACK from the track. BE FOR REAL. Furthermore, "getting it out of your system" is not a requirement, and you are still breaking the law.

So I get it - you (and every1) ONLY speed bc you are "getting it out" of yoru systems? BULL! Either you are late, in a hurry, or just wanna feel the power of the car... or showoff to a friend in the passenger seat.

To prove the point that financial situation, access to tracks has nothing to do w/ this. Car guys will be car guys - and sadly, NOT always on a track. And you are included, so why try to single him out and make it seem "worse" for him bc he has more cash?

You know what, EVERY damm one of you that are putting him down for speeding are one fat lot of hypocrites.

There isn't a single one of us in here that hasn't gotten into a fast car with a friend and wanted to show off what it would do. Take off from a light, run up to about 80 and let off to show the power. There isn't a single person in here that can say they haven't sped. There isn't a single person in here that can say they wouldn't buy the same exact things that Nick has access too if they had the money. So hop off the high horses now.

99% of you are full of shit, jealous and needed something to disagree with today. So pull your diapers up and get back to work.

And THAT my friend, is why they are hating. Cause the only looks their slowed up, busted ass car gets on the freeway is from tow truck drivers trying to find out if it's safe to tow it to the Junkyard.

Thats the entire reason behind the hate.

Shit'll buff out. I mean look, the headlights prolly still work.

    - yeah, it backed into the tree pretty good it looks. But a lot of damage is from them cutting 'em outta the car.

    Its really simple:

    pARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY.

I dont blame Nick HOgan, hes a child, hes not an adult. I blame his mother an father for letting him have access to a SUPRA at 17 years old.

Nick Hogan is just like every other young kid in america today, except he has access to millions of dollars. So what, thats not his PROBLEM, thats a blessing if used correctly. His fathers fame has prob allowed him to advance his own carreer much faster than the average person. Thats not something to be ashamed of.

When i was growing up, my dad didnt give me the keys to his sports car, he gave me the keys to a 1985 AUTOMATIC Honda Prelude with 220k.

Now had nick been driving a slower car, this prob still would have happened, because as Baby J said, car guys will be car guys, boys will be boys.

But somehow the acceleration factor of a 90hp car versus a 700whp supra is prob nowhere near the same.

A 17 year old kid has no business driving anything but a KIA or FORD TAURUS or a HONDA ACCORD.

I think its very wrong to put a car of that power in the hands of a child, regardless if he is a pro drifter or not.

I hope they learn from this an Nick is ok

I'm pretty sure he is not just "chillin" - but yeah news says he is out. I'd bet that as soon as he's able he will be at the hospital as well showing support.

But wait, he's a tool - so he prolly won't.

We have never made or raced on the way back from a track? At least from what I can remember, we have done things before , but that was not on a public road with traffic.

Actually that is how I feel. When I come back from a track event anywhere like Little Tale or Commerce or Reynolds, I dont feel the need to speed or show off for a few months! lol

I don't agree with what people are saying. Age makes no difference here, just because someone is young shouldn't mean they can't drive nice cars. Hell I was 16 driving 700hp vipers, and tons of fast cars. Did I wreck one, no. I had spent alot of time up to then racing karts and show room stock.

So don't assume that every young kid is an idiot or can't drive, that simply isn't true.

Car guys will be car guys, but if he had to bust his ass to earn his shit, he probably wouldnt be so wreckless with it.

^^ very true statement. its hard to appreciate something and show the utmost respect for it, when its been handed to you... anyone can understand that. if you spent all your hard earned money, blood, sweat, and tears on that supra, you would not be as reckless or irresponsible with it.

but then again, it only takes a split second of a mistake to create an accident like that in such a powerful car. even a 60 year old could have done it... look at all the exotics that people wreck every year...

regardless... the probability of it happening to a younger guy is much higher since he has about 100 times the testosterone and doesn't know how to completely control it.

So don't assume that every young kid is an idiot or can't drive, that simply isn't true.

its not always a question of skill, but more of controlling certain urges.. being responsible with that type of power.

but again, even adults and seniors make similar mistakes.

while i understand what you are saying, i still think that the AVERAGE SUB 20 year old kid is not able to respect or handle a car of that magnitude.

hell im 26, and i still get into trouble

A young person doesnt have the EXPERIENCE or the YEARS OF DRIVING or the AWARENESS IMO

So you have never sped on a public road? You have never been out cruising and goosed it for one of your friends on a public street? Amazing.

Feeling the need is 1 thing. But DOING it, even for a split second is another. I can think of at least one time that you DID make pulls on the street in the Cougar.

Bull. I busted my ass to build my busted ass Notchbak in high school and I busted it against the curb b/c of bas choices. You build it to beat on it - PERIOD. And it's all fun and games until you lose control. 1 second it's fun, and 5 seconds later you're backed into a palm tree. It only registers as a "bad idea" if you get busted/ticketed/crash.

You can pretend that all of this is not the case - but you know it is.

So - you blow a Civic motor and your parents say "this kind of car is not good for him?" LOL. He blew a motor up in a car - his "toys" are just bigger than ours. Plus, as long as I see race teams do it on national TV, if I do it I won't feel so bad (if I took as many precautions as I could) if I blow one. And YOU have blown up enuff shit too Tank - it happens, it's part of the game.

The Lambo - if he didn't stop when he heard something, then he was pretty careless IMO - to each his own.

And wrecking the yellow Supra, no argument there - MAJOR mistake.
