i am guilty of making my subie look slow...first time at track and first time launching it so ya...best run for me was 14.0 after missing 3rd....heat soak was also killing me...didn't even come close to my desired PSi. Next time i def gotta take her out on smaller wheels than my big ass heavy 19's lol and invest in some thermal wrap.

lol. i only saw you run once, but yeah get rid of those damn 19's. and dude, when i ran at import showdown, weather was almost just as hot, i still kept hitting 16psi even after running 3 times back to back. shift quicker and launch harder.. lol. you have the STi tranny, what are you worried about?

Which run did you see? (either way all were shitty) I wasn't hitting over 15psi...even after i let it cool down. I wasn't goin hard on the car coz didn't know what it could handle or if it would break...i kind of tested it every run. Ya i need to launch it harder...those were only 4k launches yesterday. I got a 6spd, but still have the stock axles and r160. If I hard launched on those heavy ass 19's...i def would have popped something.

I saw the very last one. And aren't you running the vf39? you should be hitting higer psi then that, whats your max psi your car is tuned for?

and 4k launches are weak man, lol. but yeah i guess thats ok for your first time at the track.. i did pretty good too when i went to ISD, considering it was my first time too.. Keep learning all you can about it man, you'll be confindent against anything when you know you can launch without fucking up.

i know i should be hitting higher PSi (car's tuned for few more digits)....sucks when i have no heat shield and no thermal wrap and pretty much saying "welcome heat soak". You should have seen mine and josh's desperate attempts to keep my pipes cool by covering them by ice cold/filled towels....didn't help for jack. My pipes were sizzling hot even when i was in stagging lanes. I wanted to do harder launches, but at the same time drive the car home not tow it lol. 4k launches didn't get me any where.

glad you all had fun. collins and i went to SDR, but combo of the heat and a under prepped track equalled no good times, shut down most of our runs due to traction issues. found out they only prepped about 30 feet of the track. some really fast cars down there though, 5.7 gto running 12.0-12.2's (bad run b.c his best is 11.6) older cameros, nova, s10s. should be fun for import show down when the track is prepped and i get some MT DR on

15.2 trapped 111mph street tires... very disappointed. BUT I did have a very nice encounter with a few M3's on the way back. Red one with a cf trunk and black with some time attacks

We had alot of fun there, the track was just about to get really good and then it started to rain.

Congrats goes out to Mike with the Red Eclipse. Running a 9.7 even while having huge ignition problems. Even after trying to swap out the cam/crank sensor his car still was having problems with it breaking up really bad.

All in all it was a good event

So it was just ignition problems? That run where it fell off the pace looked just like the Eagle when I popped off the blow off valve and ran super rich. Looked like that or an intercooler pipe blew off.

Anyway yeah it is damn impressive to get near 780whp from a block you built on your apartment patio!
