Buying A XBOX 360 Today

Okay so finally I am gonna go buy the XBOX 360 today, mainly cause the price came down. So... Im looking at Madden '08 or Nascar '08. Which game is better? Which has best graphics?

Nascar '08 looks like it has good graphics and I think uses the COT which is good.

i dont want this to be a flame war. but to whoever said 4/5 ps3's break ur soo off i dont even know how to respond or what word to call whoever told you that.

ps3 failure rate is .2%
360 failure rate is 34%

Also blu-ray doesn't suck up too much memory.. thats a ridiculous comment. Its a DISC... when watching a movie.. it works or it doesnt. Does your dvd suck up too much memory? do you even know if it uses memory or how memory is used in such a situation?

but brett personal recommendation is a ps3. Unless u really want halo 3 then of course you have no choice. But again as mentioned you said 499 is too much. But if u add the hd player at 179.99 and the wireless kit the 360 is more.

If u dont care for high def movies then its a mute point anyway, but i would suggest this bro. Take a look at the dif between a regular dvd and a high def/blu-ray.. there is a Huge difference. not only in video but in sound encoding as well if you have the right equipped sound system.

And yes while halo 3 will be amazing. So will mgs4. so will killzone 2. so will heavenly sword. so will gt5.

Btw for those about madden 08. Reviews done online and from people i know who have both system's and played both. The graphics for madden 08 = better on ps3 and the game play/handling = better on ps3 from what everyone says. I havnt tried it myself tho as im not into sports games all that much. And again the 60fps part whoever mentioned it won't matter unless brett has a 120hz 1080/24p tv and has super human eyes to notice anything above 32 frames.

again my 2 cents. no flame war. I would personally prolly get a 360.. if the system was reliable. I mean how many people would get a car knowing it breaks down 33% of the time and the manufacturer will not warranty half of those? who would get anything like that.. only microsoft. They have 34 class action law suits against them worldwide just for red ring of death + disc scratching alone. Where i work a lady came in yesterday and purchased her third 360. the other 2 broke down and microsoft would not warranty. when asked why not get a ps3 she said. "my stupid husband got every game out for the system even though he doesnt play em and doesnt want to waste that 800$". I told her.. if that one breaks u tell ur husband he just wasted 750$ buying a system that broke over and over..

again if it were reliable.. i would get one.. but till then.. hell no. I would in fact be curious to see someone make a poll to 360 users on how many times theres went down if any.. and possibly keep all the ps3 ftw or 360 sucks outta it.. if its possible.

I like my ps3 better then 360, I admit 360 got better games now, but again its been out longer. By the end of this year a lot of good games will be released, and next year will be crazy for ps3. But, I won't say 360 isn't good, cause it is, I just always pefered playstation over any other console
Demoneyez is right, check out ps3forums.com and see how many people complain about a messed up ps3 compared to any 360 forum about dead 360's.
I talked to you aim about gettin it brett, but get madden 08, better replay value then nascar, plus you good modes to play on madden.

Went out and bought the 360 Premium and Madden '08. I cant wait to get a few more games but it came with Table Tennis free (Kinda lame but I played it for about 20 minutes..lol) Only thing I did think it had was built in WiFi so I guess I will get my IT guy at work to make me about 30ft of ethernet cable so I can tap to the router when I wanna go online, But thats not a big deal. But the Madden '08 is pretty cool, Kinda sucks that Madden doesnt do any of the announcing and play by play but now I cant wait to start buying some other games to have variety

But Im just as excited as hell that now I finally have a 360 and can play games again. I havent had a console in forever!! LOL

well theres the problem with microsoft.

they are not telling what batch's what serial numbers were bad.. they denied part of the problems despite many places finding out alot of the problems. one like the disc scratching issue was the lasers were missing some rings in it that were in every other cd/dvd system they made. microsoft said it wasnt the case. so theres no way to tell which ones were bad.. which ones are going to be bad.. Also as far as i know the new processor system they have not put in yet as their still working out its bugs. again i could be wrong i havnt read the xbox forums in week.
