lol my last job i straight up signed my papers and left! threatened to sue them...if actions werent taken....still they did nothing and told everyone that asked about me that they fired me for my own faults...but they didnt expect me ever to find out seeing as half the store knew and liked me!!!!!
Purchased "Smoke Away" a quit smoking thing for like $60. Then I quit smoking while not showing up for work then next two days. Then came in and refunded myself the $60 bucks, since it was "money back guarantee to work" I just said it didnt work while in actuality it did. Boss was hella pissed of at me, and said for me to take a 1 week vacation to think about what I have done. I never came back nor called.
i got laided off from Kubota and got unemployment for a month..
The last time I got fired was when I was in jail for a couple of weeks, and called my friend to get him to tell my 3 jobs at the moment that I had to deal with some family issues in GA. One of the bosses read the crime log and even though they miss spelled my name, he figured it was me. Then they they posted me again two days later, saying I gave the cops the wrong address, since when I went to the dmv to get a license I did not have an address (homeless) so I used my friends address, whose parents wernt happy to see their address in the paper, so they called to paper to get them to say their address has nothing to do with me, so the paper said I gave the cops the wrong address and do not live at x x x x . Anyways the family excuse worked for 2/3 jobs.
Only time I did not give two weeks notice was when I bagged groceries for Safeway.. I've been at my current job 7 years though and I plan to go out with a bang for sure.
I know a guy that was a cashier, got his boss to cover for him while he went to the bathroom, went out the back door and never came back. I thought that was pretty clever.
I left my last job because I couldn't stay in Houston.
I quit on the job, middle of the day, walked out. I had good reason. The owner was a complete BITCH. The workers were BITCHES. It is a detail shop, a small one. Owner was a lesbian, had two other lesbians working for her. 100% believe they did stuff they would leave ALL day. Anyway they always threw the work to me to do, one day a girl who worked there told me to do this and that, and she was doing NOTHING, and my boss called me a lazy ass, so I said fuck it and left them. Plus I never saw the tip money I was supposed to get.
I've always given 2 weeks notice, no need to burn bridges but then again I've never had a job that really pissed me off. I've always done kitchen jobs and the only thing that pissed me off was when a manager would tell me how to cook when he cant even do it himself. I just knod and smile and continue doing what I'm doing anyways.
I enjoyed my Houston job...except for the 110 degree Texas heat. I assembled parts for off-shore oil rigs. It was either that, or I doing the AutoCAD work for the parts. I also helped keep the shop/office clean and what-not.
