ok, flame suit on, and im ready to be made a mockery of.

but how in the hell does everyone make their damn avatar's????

every time i google it, they tell me about making a "digital 3-D me" and thats not what i want. i simply want a shrunk down image of vida guerra everytime i post.

reps for who can help. ive already downloaded irfanview, but everytime i try to resize/resample, the picture gets distorted.

and feel free to comment on my stupidity, and non-computer savy skills. if it were putting the damn thing together, or going through it would be fine, but damn the simplest of things confuse me.

IA only allows 100 x 100. what size do you want it in? i think it'll look good with a 100 h x 80 or 70 w.

Save it. Go to user cp, click on avatar. and upload it.

BOOOM head shot. lol

Right Click & Save the image to your computer
Go to "User CP" (up on the menu bar) then click "Edit Avatar" (on the left menu bar).
Upload the pic and you're all set.

ok new problem. i have aol (believe me i know) and when i right click to save as, it only allows bitmap, or art format. not jpeg, or anything else. i tried opening it with irfanview and changing the format of the picture, but sadly irfanview doesnt accept either of the 2 formats.

Save as a bitmap, open with MSPaint and save it as a PNG to keep from losing image quality. Then try to upload again.

Mooney, copy this URL and go to to EDIT AVATAR under USER CP. Paste the URL into the proper line then let me know when you're done so I can get it out of my photobucket.

Sweet, it worked. Deleting the image from my PB. I recommend saving the image to your comp for future reference.

I highly recommend it. AOL sucks @ss and even more-so since they introduced that AOL Protection Package. It fragged our home computer pretty bad. My father is stuck with AOL because he used all of his government/military e-mails on AOL way-back-when and it's too much of a pain in the @ss to change it to something else.
