Unfortunately as previously stated...You fought for ALL of us. Not just the ones that stand behind the same beliefs as you. He has the right to do as he pleases and it is his opinion of the gov't that we are now under. You fought for us, and a lot of my friends(that have also served) hate that when they come back they feel as if though they arent being backed and that the ones protesting are just too weak to serve. It is a matter of freedom of expression... You serve and back this country in every endeavor it sets forth with.... I dont agree with a lot of the decisions made and therefore I protest. It doesnt make me less of a citizen in fact I think it makes me one even more. Because I am exercising my freedom to peacefully assemble.
When the US was bombing in Vieques, PR, I protested like no other on the beaches in Puerto Rico. Was handcuffed and escorted to the court house...Eventually Bush signed a document saying that it was deemed illegal to bomb on territory that is inhabited by people... Without the protests..It wouldnt have happened. I think that America needs to see that not everyone agrees with some of it's fucked up plans.
