I would hardly call 0-60 in 8 seconds "street racing" or "launching hard"....my tired, old work truck can do better than that!
I've got torque, 170 ft lbs @ 3600 rpms. Its just the nature of the car, it gets good traction. I've been able to squeal tires in cars with less torque, just because they're FF as opposed to MR.
