140 is about all your gonna squeeze out of a SVT with stock power. The Focus isnt exactly aerodynamic and the hatchback has the worst drag coefficent (sp?) of any of the foci. The wagon has the lowest drag coefficent.

Well, the speedometer in the silvia only goes to 180km an hour and I was doing that at the end of third gear and drove it half way through 5th gear racing a tl1000.

Wrong-o. Accord Tops out more like 140-145. I was at redline and it was past the 140 mark. I don't have a Type R, so :confused:

just curious but umm whats your source for the 140-145? I would find it hard fo r an accord to top out at 145 10mph faster than an R considering the gear ratios between the two. Without fuel cut off the most an R will do is maybe 150, more like 140-145, without fuel cut off.

The Civic - 130 - would not go anymore, no cut off though with LS swap
My old mx-3 140 - got scared it was a hooptie
GF accord - 135+ - Cut off
Haven't pushed the SE-R yet... But did 120 the other night and I had to let go... but it seemed like it had some more more more juice to go.

the fastest i have gone in the lx accord when i was NA was 116 then the speed governor kicks in. i haven't tested it since i turboed it and no longer have a speed governor.

& to the guy saying a type r tops out at 135, that's interesting because i did 135 in my stock si (yes, i was going downa slight hill on 85, but it still hit 135

)...i know the type r has to go faster.

hate to say this but why does the same car... bradsaccord dude top out at 115 and ryans top out at 135whatever?

my fastest has to be with pablo on the highway... have no clue what i was going... his stopped mine kept going so i believe 130 for the scrappy... someone correct me that was there if wrong

ratios, cut off, etc, i really dont think ryan did 145, but thats my opinion. Definately not in a 4cyl

my moms acura tl won't hit 145 and the speedo goes to 160 so i'd be shocked if ryan got to it in the accord

i say he should do it again and post a picture of the speedometer and the road, with a witness, wearing a shirt that says i saw ryan drivng 145mph in his accord. With a naked old lady in the backseat of the car, and a cop to clock him to confirm the speed.

my '05 Base Automajic RSX went to 137 but let off cuz my friends said there were cops flying towards me. Felt like it had more to go and it was on the highway coming home from Commerce at 2 am. :-D 137 was 3 grand in 5th gear hehehe
