287 on a go-cart..lol, just playin
buti went about 143 in a ford lightning that i was test driving back when i was 17, dam that was fun and if i would of wrecked... dam id be screwed
125 in old ej civic it was automatic so put it in 3rd gear to trick governer
130 in my old gsr and still felt like i could have easily kept going
95 in my miata now
110 in my ls/vtec hatch still getting use to it
98.. in the old altima.. well the speedometer stopped but i went faster...
Thought aerodynamics would hinder that.Quote:

#1, just because your speedo indicates "175mph", that doesn't mean that you are doing 175mph. The faster you go, the more off most speedos become.
#2, some of the claimed speeds in some of the cars is bullshit. Those cars do not have the aerodynamics to stay on the ground at those speeds. Anyone that has taken advanced college physics can tell you that. Then again, many people in here are still in high school, so I guess that rules out the understanding to a certain extent...
I swear, it's like Jr. High in here at times, fuck.
135 in the fam sedan... woo woo
The last number on the speedo in my integra was 140 but there was 2 lines after that so I guess around 147. Got a picture of it too on my friends phone

^^^ Man how did ya hold on??? 5 mph is haulin ass. :lmfao:
shit man i was holding onto my dear life...i thought i was gonna fly away like a kite....but you know speed is adictive so i went back home and super-glued myself to the bike, did a burn out in driveway, put a helmet on for aerodynaical stability at speeds, and went back out on the street....peeling outta my driveway. If you thought 5mph was scary then think twince as much 10MPH..ya 2 full digits...came back home proud *plays Top Gun theme*. Sry i lied about my speed earlier.....didn't wanna show off.Quote:

145 in my old civic
160 on my bike
125 on 285 in a 2.0 mx-6
i had a bee hit my throat runnin 90 on my bike. wasn't pleasant, it stung me when it hitQuote:

KA 240 with out a speedo, 130 ish
Same 240 with diff engine. 150+ on 75. ( bumpy roads, and crappy tires, and the car not having seat belts in it kept me from wanting to go any faster.)
Current 240- 135 but used $20 H-rated tires kept me from wanting to go any faster. ( though on the dyno in 5th (6spd) it hit 147 ;)
mazda 626- 115mph
1.6L Sentra a tad over 110
Dodge Stealth RT, 135 in 4th but speed cut kept me from going any faster.
3more 240's that could all hit 140+ easy, but never took the others past 100-110
Out of my cars, the MR2 and the Stealth were by far the most stable, and going 100 is like going 60. Even though my 2 main 240's would go 160+ , at that speed in a 240 you better hold the fuck on and not blink.
I'll tell you this: different cars have different "off" factors. It depends on many variables...such as wheel size, calibration, etc.Quote:

Hey guys thought it would be kinda cool to "update" if we went any faster in the past year.
Mine is 125-130 in the Z did it with top up and top down before. Its weird with the top down though. I usually let off quiet fast because I think I will lose control cause of the non-aerodynamicness (SP) of having no top.
Oh and if everyone is going to freak out cause its an old thread just dont respond and let it sink back into IA's history. I figured it would be one of those threads that if brought back up nobody would really have a problem with it being around and they would respond and so forth. So ya dont freak out just let it die off...again, if everyone is going to freak out.
