Did I say myself, or anyone else wanted pitty points? Not once.
What I did say however, is that it's total bullshit to call the competitions we have here completely "fair" when their isn't any sort of class system.
This is a grassroots sport, not a professional competition. It's a little ridiculous to have people with full blown race cars, competing against amateurs with daily driven street cars. They've got a reputable shop, and race cars, why not stick to Formula D, and compete with the other people, and shops, with comparable vehicles, who are building drift specific cars?
Did I say Tony was gods gift to driving? No I didn't, dick. But I did use his name, for the sake of illustration, given the fact that most people locally are familiar with him.
As far as the Corolla's are concerned, I love the damn things. I don't want pitty points, I'm perfectly content going and spending my money, just for the peace of mind of knowing I'm not going to get arrested for sliding my car around. It's just a bit dumb to call such a thing a "competition" when street cars, have to compete against purpose built race cars.
Imagine how much closer the competition would be if the time was taken to organize, the cars into classes, based on power to weight ratio, and driver skill.
And so far as where talking about me, I couldn't careless about my "drifting skills". I've got to much other shit I need to take care of before concerning myself with that. Drifting is an expensive hobby, one that I as a full time student, can not afford. But to go around pretending the events around here are "fair" is total bullshit.
When people arrive at local events, most everyone can accurately guess who's going to be in the Top 8. It's just a matter of what order they're in.
