Is it permissable now to just create new names or used some stored one when you get banned? If so, what good is a "ban" then?
Seeing as I wasn't banned again, yes. It seems to be that a ban is kind of a warning...you lose access to your name and all you reps and have to start from scratch. An IP ban, is really more of a "get the fuck out and stay the fuck out". At least that is what I think...hence the new name.

I'm not sure, but to me it seems like a "ban" should be a ban and not a "warning". An IP ban is the most severe and usually reserved for people that continue to come back under different aliases after they have been banned.
So to be honest, I don't think any person that is banned should be allowed to simply make up another name or use one of their multiple accounts to come right back. If that's so, then what good does a ban do? To me, a ban means you've been doing something wrong and continued to do so until you pissed off a mod and got yourself banned. So then, why should you be allowed to waltz right back into the exact same forum that just "banned" you? You are the SAME person, right? SAME person that did something wrong TO get banned in the first place, right? So how does the changing of someone's sign on name change ANY of that?
