Being military doesn't mean shit - and what if they don't need to feed on people to keep going? What if the only way to kill them was a bullet through the head, where heavy artillery is useless. These were all points brought up in the book ( it's a GREAT novel, with a movie being made off of it )
Also the Zombie Survival Guide ( its a tongue in cheek novel, but it brings up good points )
