street speed- IF you make to this island, AND survive the original inhabitants (depending on if they are infected or not) you would stand a decent chance at survival providing you can feed and care for your small army you would need on the defense. keep in mind depending on what class of an outbreak we are talking about a horde of undead large enough could eventually find and overtake your perimiter. they have no need to rest for ANY reason and its their tireless efforts that eventually break down and defeat survivors. your island may trap everyone on it in the end.

always have an emergency escape plan ready and a back up for that one. I would suggest putting a line of mortars in the ground around the perimeter in case it was breached.
