My entire life has been about spending money. I have always figured that I would die eventually, so what is the point of having money saved? I can't spend it when I am dead, so I was going to live in the moment.

Now I have children and I am starting to try to save for their future stability. If I die now, they will have a much harder life, financially speaking. Hopefully in a few years, they will not have to worry so much about that.
