I think its only higher ranking officials who have an e'mail like such. Or office working individuals.

theres alot of stuff that is dependant on what your actual email adress is...i have several friends in the military either over seas right now or on a ship...the only one i can think of off the top of my head ends in @ddg93.navy.mil but of course this fella is out on a ship right now

a .mil domain is one of the hardest domains to hack or spoof. I'd say it is legit.
.af.mil is the Air Force top level domain. My old address was [email protected] Most times the syntax Brett is:
