I ask myself this question often. Is it possible for someone to be raised in a racist home and not be racist themselves? In my case, my mom is not racist, but she is not too fond of white people. I have absolutely nothing wrong with anyone! And I don't like racist people. We are all sisters and brothers under GOD's eye. With us living in the south she is always telling me about how backward and redneck some white people are here and they will smile in your face and pretend to be your friend, but deep down they hate you and they hate the ground you walk on. They will spend their entire lives ruining yours if they can. I try not to think like her because I try not to categorize people by their race, but the situation I have just gone through with my neighbors (white), has made me see what she has been saying to me all those years. Now it makes me confused. I don't want to dislike anyone because of their color, but how will I know if a white person is being sincere to me and are not trying to destroy me and degrade me? I am facing a dilema
