anyone ever gone to traffic court in cobb co to fight a ticket? if so, if you get it dropped, do you still have to pay a court fee?

why would you have to pay a court fee if all the fees and fines were dropped?

I would assume because the court is still setting aside time to look at your case, and time = money.

this is true, but if you did nothing wrong, shouldnt the cop pay the fee?

if the cop had that kind of liability
then he wouldn't pull over anyone for being scared of getting his wages cut

i went in with my lawyer. he went up and talked to the judge, came back told me the ticket was dropped and to just go to the room next door, pay my court fee and i was done and could go home. so thats what i did, i didnt even get to talk to the judge at all, i dont know any details. my dmv records are clean so yes, the ticket really was dropped.

edit: this was a 70 on a 45 ticket when i was 18. i was guilty. i dont know if u pay the court fee or not if u plead not guilty

you do pay court fees if you're guilty.

but if that's seriously the case then i'm not even gonna go in, just pay the damn ticket and be done w/it. not worth the extra time and still have to pay.
