But seriously though, with all the artwork flying around, you could buy a painting at a garage sale for like $5 and hang it up in your house and say that it cost you $20k, and no one will ever know your lying, as long as it's a good painting.

With a classic car, you can't fake the funk ...

FUCK GRAN TURISMO EAST!! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR THERE, ESPECIALLY NOT FOR AN ALIGNMENT!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!

Depends on who you're talking to. A lot of art collectors will be able to tell if it's worth it or not by looking at specifics like the brush strokes and such.

Yea but how many art collectors do you know?

ANYONE can look at a classic car and they automatically know that it's worth a lot, even if your not into that kind of stuff.

Not true. You could put a Cobra replica right next to a real Shelby Cobra, and I could give you more than a dozen people that couldn't tell the difference.

Not trying to bash you in any way, just trying to make a point that different things can be of different values to different people. Still, $72 million is quite a bit to pay for a canvas with colors on it.
