#1. Yall don't have "parole" officers, you have "probation" officers. You have to go to JAIL for a while and be released to have "parole" officers.
#2. The thread starter shouldn't be a pussy and find out for himself. Call the number on your ticket and they will tell you what is happening. They can't arrest you over the phone geniuses.....
Besides, if you owe the money, you owe the money. What's the big deal? If you don't have it, they will be more than happy to make a payment plan up for you. If you just ignore it, you deserve to go to jail.
#3. There is no excuse for not being able to do your community service, short of medical reasons for you or your family member or something. No real excuse. Why didn't you do the community service? There are plenty of community service providers that stay open 24hrs a day, hospitals are one. Go to work/school, get home, eat a samich, go to hospital and do your 40 hours like you agreed to. Not too difficult. If people can do it when they have to support a household, 2 kids, a wife, 3 dogs, 2 cars, and a partridge in a pear tree, then a young man with no other responsabilities should be able to do it with one hand tied behind their back. You can also go crush cans at the recycling place on the weekends. You can also volunteer at shelters. You could also call your local probation office. They have a list of people perfectly willing to let you do their grunt work for 40 hrs at your leisure. Community service is supposed to be a PITA. It's supposed to be inconvinient. It's supposed to make you think while you are helping others. It is part of your PUNISHMENT, not a merit. It is designed to turn a negative into a positive. Stop complaining and looking for "ways around it". Lace up your boots, tighten your belt, and step up to the plate. You did something to deserve getting community service, so suck it up and deal with it.
