Most Americans see no importance in the 5th of May just as you see no importance 26th of December which is a major holiday in Canada. Its a holiday for another country's military efforts or something. If a Nigerian comes here and expects us to celebrate their independence from Great Britain you are going to look at him like he's lost his fucking mind. We have big Mexican and Nigerian communities here but this is America and our holidays apply here.
