Marijuana already has proven it's medical purpose and like most drugs they DO serve a medical purpose. In order for this country to get rid of drug problems they would have to rid of every drug that can literally change any of your senses or perception. So that means get rid of caffeine, nicotine, and any over the counter pills or start locking people up for the use of these drugs.

The prohibition of weed is one of Americas biggest Hypocrisies
You're right, people do react differently. But the parameters still move in the same direction; down.
And don't try to tell me that the majority of pot smokers have a medical condition that requires the use of weed! Sure, most that start don't want to stop, so if the feeling was good, they want to do it again (no, not necessarily an addiction, but a lame way to NOT deal with something if it's a necessity that you're excusing).

And the creativity is increased due to a large empty hard drive (the brain) normally used to continuously compute and direct other NORMAL human activity.
And yes, it is a hypocrisy that weed is illegal, but this thread wasn't about the law on weed; it was about using it.
It's a release that some choose. Other choose alcohol or other hard drugs which are much worse.
