Tricky Question to ask a girl...

Okay so there is this girl i've been dating for a week or two now and shes kind of hinting that shes ready to hit the sheets. Being a guy, i have zero problems with that

but...

one of her friends once told me that she slept with a guy who might have had something, but they were in a fight in the time so i don't know if the friend was just trying to screw her over or if she meant it.

So how would i pose the question for her to maybe go and get a test for any kind of STD. Its a pretty delicate situation and i do NOT want her to flip out and screw the situation up before i lay the pipe; i also don't feel like testing the waters of the rumor and risking it.

maybe if i go get tested with her, it will ease the situation?

if anyone has had experience with this kind of thing please give me some advice on how to suggest something like this
