Petition for New Platinum IA Member Lounge
I was thinking about this the other day. Have a Lounge for subscription paying members with sub sections such as Premium Whoreslounge, Red Light District, and other things. Its completely optional. Its a low amount to contribute and it goes towards events such as TunerFest or the site itself.

I remember this idea has been talked about before and Julio said he would never make anyone pay anything on the site. I think he kinda ruled this out. But if not, I could be wrong, sounds like a good idea.

i think the only rules or regulations should be that maybe you need to actually have met a lot of the people in the private section so that it turns into an actual group of IA members who know each other. and you dont get random ppl in there

so ur gonna have the same group of people/mods/admins that are on the site every day and use the buddy buddy system...
rules should be a certain amount of posts, maybe reps, age, and of course payment...
like i said who's gonna pay for something when they could get the exact same thing for free.. i for one am not gonna pay to have a whoreslounge with the same people that post in it everyday.. that just has the "platinum" title. i could save twenty dollars that way.. and still have the same results...

I'm on another forum that did that, $10 one time fee. It has a premium lounge, more pms, bigger sigs. But barely anyone is in the lounge, its kinda pointless.

I agree. Also I think it would have a bad effect on the rest of the site. The people that pay to get the platinum membership would most likely ignore the rest of the site and it could end up killing the feng shui.
Some will miss the whole point of this completely. Not trying to make IA a pay site, but those that do want to give back what all IA has given can by doing so in this way, and also recieving some small incentive.
no i don't think it would hurt the site.. i think it would calm down a lot of the bs started on the site.. and keep it out of the platinum section... it just all needs to be done a certain way.
personally i would pay, but i know for sure i'd check normal ia as well because of car listings/parts things like that... because i'm sure the vast majority will not pay...
