Well, since I work for the Speed Channel, I'll say this... I think its a RAD idea.

I haven't gotten to see the show yet because of my schedule, but in my dad's day, people would race for pinks. you lost, tough shit.

Cool idea, but I totally agree that too often they put LA people in where Car people shoudl be.

Let's hope that this is how I'll get to be in front of the camera full time...since I am confident in my vehicular knowledge

when was your dads day ? my dad used to mess around racing (he had a 69 camaro ssrs) but he never talked about racing for "pinks"

It was ok. I wish they would put up the times and have better camera angles so we can see the action a little better. The zoom out to the starting line to the zoom in of the finish is kinda whack. I'd like to see some slo mo replays or something like that. The host is trying a bit too hard to seem Mr. Macho car guy when it's obvious he's not.

The idea behind the show is cool because you find yourself rooting for one or the other, but they need a little better execution IMO. I do like all the shit talking and BS'ing. That's kinda cool. I like how they let you listen in and text everything they whisper. Ole boy in the Formula had a cheater N2O setup that somehow was hidden in the headlights. It was cool to know that.

I liked it alot.
When we did street race years back, there'd be 50+ cars there, (150-200 people) and people act juct like those guys. There are a FEW guys here that were there back then...(Marshall!) I thought it was quite authentic with the sand baggin what you have , until you run theory. " My car is stock w/ a 50 shot...".BS.
The N20 in the H/L switch is a common F body and VW trick, its the power for the solenoids as well as H/Ls.
The losin car was MAYBE a mid 12 car, the dude in the green car had a set up my buddy has very similar in his F body, he does 10.90s and like him lifts the wheels on the bottle at launch. (3rd run)
