We are modifying cars to make more power than they are suppose to. If every shop out there warranted a blown motor because they are modified beyond stock power levels, EVERY SHOP WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. There are way too many variables in the game we play to even comprehend the consequences. We all do it for fun and we learn from our mistakes.
Sometimes I think people that don't know shit about cars shouldn't be even touching them. Maybe stick a K&N on their Honda and call it a day. It is not a shop's duty to educate the customer on how an engine works and what to look for. They can only do their best abilities to make sure the customer is forewarned.

Bottom line - shit blows up, whether you work on it yourself or whether another shop does.
MSPI took on a project that had already seen probs from previous shops. The ups and downs of that build, and the "other" shops less than perfect knowledge was very public knowledge.
There is no use on character knocking ANY1 - it's about the CARS, and possibly $$. Leave it at that. There is not one perfect person on this board other than me, and I'd never bash some1s personality in a public forum - not SERIOUSLY anyway.
90% of the people in this thread has never had anything SERIOUS done at MSP. Hell, and a great deal of you have never even had a serious car PERIOD. So STFU.
At the end of the day, from what I know and hanging out w/ Tank he is a decent guy So is Mike. Let them work this shit out and every1 else STFU.

Tank started a thread on Supraforums, posted PRIVATE MESSAGES I SENT HIM, and he then tried to insinuate it was our fault. All of this after we had DETAILED discussions with him about his car and what we think happened.
Tank may have not directly bashed me or the shop, but he hinted at it. Someone said "check the thermostat" and he says "I had a new motor, they didnt check the thermostat, it was their fault" is pretty damn close to pointing fingers. the problem is, tank doesnt know the difference between a thermostat and an oil filter.
WE REPLACED HIS THERMOSTAT WITH A BRAND NEW UNIT, with a NEW GASKET. So his claim of "mainstream didnt properly check out my thermostat an thats why my motor blew " is complete an utter BULLSHIT. Again, for the last time, his CAR NEVER OVERHEATED ON OUR DYNO EVER or during street tests. He simply put the car in a situation i could not duplicate, and it got hot, he chose to drive on it tell the car melted down. Even now he is LYING, he told me, Rob Farley, Erin , Turbo Dave that the car "STARTED SMOKING FROM UNDER THE HOOD, STARTED MISFIRING, I KEPT DRIVING IT". The car simply did not just magically, SHUT OFF like he claims.
He has also denied having to pay us storage, well here it is folks:
