I like making these posts because it's funny to hear what the haters say. I can't drive, I suck, I'm not a real drifter....blah blah blah. In the words of Rabbit, tell us something we haven't heard already :boobies:. All I can say is at least I get out there and try.

I crashed my car this weekend. I almost totalled it. Now, now don't go getting all excited yet. It's fixed already

. Basically I caught grip on a bank while drifting and hit a wall on an oval track. Thanks to the FL shops, XAT racing, Enjuku, Mazworks and Irish Mikes, my car is going to make it to Miami this weekend so I can have the opportunity to crash into Nick Hogan

Yes he will be there competing and I am joking about crashing into him...I hope.

Here's the pics of what it looked liked crashed. I moved the entire front end to the left 9 inches....whoops! Whadda ya gonna do. Gotta learn somehow I guess.

I didn't understeer. I lifted off of the gas and caught grip and started to head towards the wall. I romped on the breaks cuz I freaked out. All I had to do really was let off of the brakes and turn the wheel. I just freaked out instead. Oh well, I know better next time

Luckily I have 2 bad ass techs that take care of me.

Florida is awesome, too because all of the shops are down to help each other out. They all have their drama, but when it comes down to it...they take care of each other. I don't believe we could have gotten the car together this quick in GA. NO ONE would have helped us cept maybe Mainstream. Down here we had 5 shops helping out. It was pretty awesome.

i know you usually pat the gas during a drift.. i was jsut messing with ya.. gotta aggrivate you a little..

Hehe I did that when I used to race sprint cars!!! I was set up to where my car would ONLY turn under power. I had a lapper cross track on me, i lifted for a split second. Just enough for it to not turn, and slam the wall. Trashhhhhhhhhhhed both front wheels, the axle, all my radius rods, and put a bow in the rear axle! lol.

I dont watch drifting like I should but I imagine things like this happen to the best of them? I would assume the natural reaction in that situation is to slam on the brakes.. its easy to say you wouldn't but something completely different to actually be there.

It is a natural reaction for "regular" drivers. It should be a natural reaction for me to gas or clutch kick or just turn the wheel to get away from the wall. BUT I am still learning. I think I may have learned my lesson. It's not THAt big of a deal. I just wish I had done it for NOPI and money or TV was on the line. It was stupid to do at practice. It will probably happen again to some extent. Dan says it's just part of the game. I will just have to believe him, I guess

glad you are ok Tracy. D.Earnhardt...M Shumacher...J Force....all great drivers...all have wrecked. All learned from their wrecks and sounds like you did as well. Hate it that it dinged up your ride. Your pride is prolly what got dinged the most. Remember that you are a PARTICIPATOR...not a Spectator...spectators never wreck.....spectating sux!!!! In life, participators have all the fun!!!!!!!
