That's not always true. You need to make sure that it is "non reporting" to the DMV. You can still get a ticket for less than 14 over with no points, but the court can still report it to the DMV. You won't have any points, but your insurance will see the ticket on the DMV and raise rates accordingly. You need to make sure that IF you get it reduced that the court DOES NOT report it to the DMV.
interesting, didn't know that. only time i got a ticket for 14 over the guy writing it said i wouldn't get any pts nor would it be reported so i guess that was a "non reporting ticket"
