honestly alot of folks like cars to look fast but would rather not spend the money to make them fast. and some folks buy cars already modified and are lied to and they just pass on what they were told not knowing they got screwed.

most people are trying to fit in and dont have a real working knowledge of cars or they get to excited and say something dumb,like is that a v4? is that vtec? or im gonna put a whatever on my something and im gonna run 12's or my car has 300hp and its a 90 civic.

anyway if you see me on the street i wont try to race you but you might call me a ricer i have blue flames on my car and a freakin loud assed exaust (i say its becasue of my bisi header) rollin on my old 14inch prime 5 star rims with a 6 point cage inside completly gutted and a time slip in the ashtray from when it was drag car pullin 1.60 60 ft times and 11.90 et's in the 1/4. i bought it this way and i like it. well the flames are a bit much

i was suprised too but they did alot of stuff to it suspension tranny and so on.in reality if i boosted the little sohc i could hit 180whp but would not run 12 even on slicks i would need his old tranny or a built one with lsd and slicks and the right suspension. but i will get it back in the 11's thats for sure.

oh but it did,so by me saying that if i put a motor in it or made my motor put down around 180whp (a simple # to make)the same amount as the motor that was in there before they retired it and the same trans and slicks it wont run those times? you know you could say your gonna put a big block chevy in your car and make 500hp and run 10's who am i to say you cant do that...everyones got to have a dream.but mine is more realistic. if i said im gonna make my car run 16's would that be better?

SOHC made high 180s ALL MOTOR also the car i think went 11.70s with a B series once before.

ok i dont know if youre trying to be funny or are serious... but what im understanding from vteckidds post is that the car made 180hp out of a sohc motor but that wasnt the motor that ran 11's the motor that the car had that ran 11.70s is a b-series....
what im getting from youre post is that you will be able to run 11.70s or around that with a sohc motor built to only push around 180hp....

1st my mom comes home from work and im standing of the front pourch smoking after she gets out i tell her "your breaks sound realy bad you might wanna get them checked out" she replies "well i just had them done". 2nd some kid in my 4th period class saw me reading a import tuner mag, and ask me do i like cars. i tell him yea and go back to reading my mag, 5-10 min later he says hey you should see my brothers car its a 2001 prelude he just put a 2.2 liter motor in it and to day after school me and him are gonna install the the vtec manifold on it today. I said that sounds cool can i come help yall(just to see what he would say)? his reply was no my brother only lets people who no alot about cars like me and him work on it. I was like WTF!!!!!!!!

For a minute, the KA in my 240 was having some serious issues with cooling and fuel delivery, and it would pop pretty badly under any kind of acceleration, and would usually have a little smoke wafting out from underhood by the end of the day (rad. cap wasn't holding enough pressure and would leak coolant). I pulled up to a gas station after a particularly bad overheating session, coolant leaking everywhere, a few pops on the way in, and get the hood open to a barrage of smoke.

Dude leans out the window of a relatively clean E36 325i and says "Check those welds on the intake manifold" laughing like I've never heard someone quote F&F, tries to do a burnout, and sideswiped a pole.

I walked over to make sure he was ok, then looked at him and said "That's what you get for granny shifting, not double clutching like you should have."

If I was a guy he woulda beat the **** outta me.
