    Default Anyone got Comcast Internet?..

    ..and getting shitty service last couple of weeks ? Im trying to see if its an atlanta problem or just me. Also anyone here work at comcast that could possibly fix it?

    Ive had no problems since I moved to my new house. At my last place I lost service once or twice a day.

    but when you go to download you usually get what....580kb/s ? right?

    i hate comcast. i have their cable internet and i've been having a lot of trouble with them. a few weeks ago - i called them because it kept going down and i was trying to do some work and they told me that they had some DNS error or something and that it would take a couple weeks to get it fixed.....so I'm still waiting and still paying them $45 a month for shitty service
    Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it!

    Still having problems, the phone techs arent doing much, and ive had 2 comcast techs come to the house and still hasnt fixed anything. anyone have #'s for the higher people in the comcast chain? This shit really needs to be resolved .

    Just my linksys router and windows firewall, but that never used to affect my speed before.

    Last Result:
    Download Speed: 1673 kbps (209.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Upload Speed: 246 kbps (30.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

    Look at that lol.

    And i was just trying to play some cs a couple minutes ago, damn i miss that game. Anyway im trying to play and i get ping spikes to 500 from nowhere .

    have you ran some spyware/virus protection on your system lately... i would then try another box and try pluging directly into the modem to see if there is a difference.

    also if you hold the reset button it will cycle through and the modem

    Yea ran speed test on 3 different computers with and without modem, all harmful spyware/virus free. I think its my area, thats why im trying to find some numbers to call of people that could actually do something =\.

    What kind of pings do you get to cs servers, or i believe you play tfc correct? Whats some tfc server pings you get?
