i'm going to add to this as stuff comes up. please post questions and things below, and try to stay on topic. anything significant will be edited on to this original post.

regarding reputation:
green is positive, red is negative, gray is zero. here are the official settings:

1. new users has a level of 10 reputation upon registration
2. a user must have 10 reputation before his reputation hits count on others
3. a user must have 50 posts before his rep hits count on others
4. for every 100 points of rep, users gain 1 point of rep altering power
5. for every 1000 posts, users gain 1 point of rep altering power
6. for every 365 days, users gain 1 point of rep altering power
