why are Miatas called girl/gay car?

i goin to probbly buy my miata 2morrow,but since iv been looking at them,everyone says their gay or girl car..and come to think bout it when i see gay men, they useally drive Lexus or Hondas

so i never really understand this,and most of the time the person that calls the miata a gay is ether driving a Civic,Camaro or Mustang.

Miata in my book is gay unless it has these:

1. Widbebody with a sick 1 tone color. And some nice deep dish rims. That would be a monster.
2. Adding a V8 I believe in the thing. Not sure if it was a photoshop but there was an article about a V8 in the miata. Though that thing is perfect.
3. A hot girl driving it.
