i wear diamond grips 5 days a week. try washing your hands 10-15x a day from getting them greasy.. your hands dry out and hurt like hell. if you do it for a living gloves are a must.
It only took one good cut to make me start wearing gloves. Now I have gone through 4-5 pairs of them (worn holes in them). I won't do any major wrenching without them. Obviously some things you can't do with the gloves one (soldering, or trying to thread bolts in tight places, etc), but for everything else, yeah, I'll wear them.
Right now I'm a professional bassist, so if my hands get screwed up, I can't do my job. (I've tried playing bass with open wounds....bloody strings slow me down).
Just depends on what I am doing.
If I am working with bolts and stuff no I dont, but if I am tugging on wrenches and rackets trying to break one loose or tighten one down I do.

Make sure you "like" the videos purdy please.
I usually use gloves when breaking things loose or times when my hands can slip off and get busted on something. I hate handling anything smaller than a 17mm bolt with them so they don't stay on very long if at all.
I don't. Too much dirt gets caked on the gloves and I don't like having to change gloves every time I put another bearing in. Yea I am very anal about engine assembly.
No Homo.
i dont for the most part but i do keep a box in my truck just in case i have to work on it and can't clean up.
i do, the disposable ones... but i never buy them, so i guess i dont use them
i work at a dealership so I wear latex or nitrile gloves every time I work on a car. it's a lot faster to finish the car up, peel the gloves off and get the car out of the shop. faster = money when you are a real mechanic. besides the fact if I hop in a $60,000 RL with dirty hands I won't have a job for long.
Who knows?
I wear my mechanix gloves whenever im wrenching on anything. Exception to this would be if i was doing wiring, threading smaller bolts, feeling for something in particular, or something where ill be touching body panels alot.
I wear Mechanix gloves when I can or working on something where I could get a deep cut easily if I slip, or if I need extra grip. If im working with anything with chemicals Ill wear Nitrile gloves.
Oil is known to be a carcinogen, as well as brake dust, but hey who gives a fuck. Gloves are for pussies, right?

The pic I posted this guy was wearing gloves changing his wheels. And the car ended up sitting on the disc brake. Yeah gloves are nice in some areas like to much grease or busted knuckles. But I just thought the pic was hilarious.

Last time I didn't wear gloves while working on my car, I cut my hand to the bone. Not fun.
