Yeah, my parents own a fair share of land in the Blue Ridge Mtns in Tennessee and, last month, Wal-Mart came to them and offered them well into major money for about 15 acres. Just waiting on the finalities now. Later, QD.

Walmart's margins suck. 312 billion and revenue and a paltry 11.2 billion in profit. That much work for 3.59% profit.

Exxon Mobil has them beat easily in profit margin and gross revenue. Walmart's the biggest company by employees and the largest retailer. Exxon the biggest by stock value, revenue, and profit.

    Some other math:

    Walmart:
    Revenue/Employee: $173,555
    Profit/Employee: $6,222

    Exxon:
    Revenue/Employee: $4,451,888
    Profit/Employee: $481,121

Each employee at Exxon generates 77x the profit each employee at Walmart.

not really a fair comparison as exxon is mostly automated(they employee >1/10 the people walmart does), the gas stations are franchises, and many of the workers they employee are contractors. GE does the same shit and if ya looked i think youd find their numbers would beat exxon. i bet if you looked at the risk and how both companies were financed walmart would come out ahead. besides in 10yrs when walmart buys iraq, exxon will be seriously fucked.

more knowledge for ya, walmart sells more pharmaceuticals, fills more percriptions for eye glasses, and developes more film than most (if not all) their competitors put together. remember "the company" from aliens? walmart tryin to restock the pet department.
