i was on 85 near downtown late to work so i was going 96 on a 55. anyone had something close? he was so chill about it too. he said call this number find out how much your fine is and mail it in. am i screwed? is my license getting suspended? anybody know how much its goiong to be?

My buddy got a ticket for 37 over in his 69 GTO... He went to court, they literally told him his fine was too big for that court to deal with, he had to wait and go to another court and bring the payer of the insurence (his dad a former marine who was not entirely exicited should we say) in which he got a 250 fine, 6 months probation, and 31 hours community service.

I was pulled for a 92 in a 55 when I was 19 (stupid of me). The lawyer was able to keep my license from being suspended.

I'm guessing this is Dekalb right? You're pretty much screwed unless you get a lawyer.

Yeah dude... anything over 19 mph is a 4 point ticket... and as long as you are under 21 ... a single 4 point ticket is an automatic suspension... Lol trust me i should know... just got done taking defensive driving for the third time! >.< first and third weren't really my fault lol! But yeah Lawyer is going to be the way to go... because they could get you on wreckless driving too O.O

My old work buddy got ticketed doing 95 in a school zone/construction. would have been a $1903 but judge dropped it. He was 17. Only reason it got dropped is because it was 30 minutes before the school let out and nobody was working the job site at the time. The cop was also on the opposite side of the road when he turned his lights on and the kid still stopped. I bull shit you not. /thread now

i dont believe he was speeding THAT bad....anything that high with you being 19 should have landed you in cuffs...dont get me wrong, you got lucky but when i was 18 about to be 19, when i got my ticket, the solicitor said 25 over would have been wreckless driving and combined with speeding is automatic arrest and impound....

Note how the officer told you to just -- "Mail it in" You NEVER do that. Hes trying to screw you over. Show up to court and the judge will reduce it based on your driving record. Hell, you might even get the ticket dismissed IF the cop doesnt come to court. I had a reckless driving ticket dropped because of this once.
