Ban this guy... he has 1 post and joined this month to bump a 2 yr old thread. Also ban everyone else who can't read post dates and continue to talk about this.Originally Posted by dylan6783

write down any serial numbers(if any) on a piece of paper. go to the police station and ask about finding the history of the gun. when they start asking you questions you will have your picture taken and if youre in gwinnett your picture and name will be on gwinnettmugs.com under HOLD FOR OTHER AGENCY

Nice thread here...too bad its almost 2 years old
SO...
Was it stolen?
Regardless of whether or not it was stolen, it's not an MP5. The receiver is all wrong for it to be a real MP5, or a quality clone MP5. It could be some uber cheap-o MP5 clone, or an airsoft gun.
Here is a pic of how an MP5 is supposed to be broken down, and cleaned.
Here's what's wrong with the OP's "MP5"
Red: Pivot point for the lower receiver is too high up.
Green: No markings for which mode the selector plate is engaged in. (Semi, Full Auto, Safety)
You beat me to it. Correct, that IS NOT a real H&K MP5. It is a clone, but nothing more. Typically they run around $1500 or so for the semi-auto clones. If this one, indeed, has the ability to go full auto if the plate is removed, then I would surmise that it breaks federal law. Not state, but federal. That means that you go to federal pound me in the ass prison if you get busted with it. You are playing with fire...it's only a matter of time before you get burned I assure you.

According to Taketomi, true VIP style tuning is limited to only 10 Nissan and Toyota models: Nissan President, Cima, Gloria, Cedric and Fuga; Toyota Celsior, Century, Aristo, Crown and Majesta.
mp5. very good tactical close range automatic.
I UNDERSTAND THE AGE OF THIS THREAD
but an mp5 is wonderful for close range, just like a 9mm pistol. just because its a tactical rifle, its still 9mm.
also, i dont see why yall are saying this is a 10k rifle. its 2,995.95 at a local gun store in my town brand new. they also have p90's and UMP's
They're saying it's a $10K rifle because it probably is close to it. Yes, you can get a semi-auto MP5 for about $3K. This one is supposed to be a full-auto version which would be very expensive. Either way, $250 or whatever he said he paid for it is a steal. That being said, I think it's an airsoft gun and this guy is full of shit.Originally Posted by yogi08
Sorry bro, but you're wrong. You may be in connection with a Vector or like clone. These are not brand new and can be bought only if manufactured before 86 I believe. That one is guarnteed semi auto and the full auto go for 18K + www.impactguns.comOriginally Posted by yogi08

What's going to get you locked up is if it is automatic you haven't done the Class III transfer and tax (felony) also if you haven't paid the $200 and registered it with the ATF as an SBR (short barreled rifle) you'll also face 5-10. You might want to get on that before some range officer asks you about it then calls the popo on you.
Just some helpful advice.
