    Imported cars enter Customs and a Registered Importer meets the vehicles at the port and ships it to their location of business where they have up to 90 days to convert anything that needs to be changed in order to comply with standards. If the RI does not meet the deadline the vehicle quite possibly will be flagged for either deportation or destruction. If the vehicle requires EPA as well it will need to be sent to a ICI.
