ahhhh AWD does not increase a cars ability to make higher lateral G numbers, it makes a car more stable. Sport Compact Car did a test of FF vs FR vs AWD years ago with stock platforms as well as highly tuned versions on wet and dry. Test included skidpad, dry pavement launching, wet pavement launching and a road course. In the end AWD only had better numbers on wet pavement drag launches over the other cars.
