Thread: Need to borrow a Windows XP Home SP1 CD ASAP!!! Anyone?

    Unless you specifically NEED something that is Windows-only, why not go Linux? Also, MS Product #s are exclusive to CDs. Meaning, you have to use the Serial # that came w/ the CD. I found that out the hard way.

    you sure? I have used many different cd's to install windows. I have done this one too many times.

    also the only reason i am going to do windows is because the computer will be for sale once i get it going and most people want a windows computer so...

    Well it did it like that when I did it; if it's just b/c I got an OEM disk, I'm gonna give a big to M$
