Apparently high aluminum prices and the loss of a major customer caused them to file for bankruptcy. A few other companies agreed to help bail them out but the banks wouldn't cooperate. Sucks for Subaru I guess.

Walker was talking about this at lunch. Supposedly the next models from Subaru are going back to steel instead of aluminum. Sucks.
