actually alot of illegals pay taxes by use of a taxid number, which can be assigned to a noncitizen of the country.
as far as it being unjust, perhaps you should call INS, which knowingly lets "illegals" into the country WHILE their citizenship is being processed, which can take upwards of 15+yrs ; i believe right now the standard waiting time is 4 years. so you want to stop illegals from coming here, its your government allowing them to stay, take it up with them.

obviously reading isnt your strong suit either. the news report said it required a SSN OR A TAXID NUMBER to receive the car. then later in it, it said it was not delivered due to the fact of her legality was in question. as she has a job, she therefore has a tax id number. its just like the babys r us thing, technically the kid was a citizen as he was born here, but luckily for them, they did have it in fine print that the mother had to be a citizen as well. in this case, i dont believe that was specified, or else they would have said SSN only to take possession.

do me a favor. call INS and ask them if they give visa's to everyone who have paperwork being processed. visa's are mostly given by sponsorships to immigrants be it from a job, school, etc to get them here and then become a citizen. agian, sounds like i know more than you on the subject.

Plenty of illegals work without a tax ID. And per your own statements, if she wasn't illegal then she'd atleast have a tax ID. Since it said she needed a SSN or a Tax ID then she obviously didn't have either.
Im betting it was one of those "Open to legal US residents" and since she dont have her paperwork yet, she's considered "illegal"
