    Being a part time student and going to school, i didn't have a shitload of "reported" income . So my refund is about $250.

    I'll get back maybe $200 but that's on purpose. I'm an accountant and I would rather get my money and use it for things during the year or save it so it's there when I need it.

    I was in public for years until one of my clients made me a nice offer and now I work 9-5:30, no weekends, no overtime and I'm allowed to take vacation in January, February and March

    Getting a smaller refund has nothing to do with how good your job is. It depends on how much more or less than your total tax liability for the year is withheld from your checks.

    Two people can make the exact same amount and one get back $20 and one get back $2000... it all depends on how much is withheld.
