I had a stop sign ticket. I didnt make a complete stock. I just went in and payed $78. Which was nothing. But yeah a cop can do that. Bcuz you broke a law.

Only if gated and/or posted that it is! That doesn't make it private to law enforcement though (That only works on ACTUAL home property or commercial/business) and the home property one isn't even a full right...i didnt think neighborhoods were private property

I would call the courthouse for where it was issued and ask them about the jurisdiction thing. They may throw it out, and it couldn't hurt.
Last time I checked, only sherrif could stop cars out of jurisdiction, unless the violation happened in thier jurisdiction then any cop can follow you out of it and stop you. Also, I believe even if it is a sherrif and he pulls you out of his jurisdiction he has to call an officer of that jurisdiction to ticket you.
Its been a while since I dealt with this though, so the law may have been changed since.
Yeah, I think, since you failed to stop-going onto a public road he can. But the Jurisdiction thing, not sure.. I guess way of thinkin it is, runnin onto the US/Mexi Border, towards Mexico.. If you dont stop for a customs breif, US can't get ya, but Mexico can for entering their country...lol Ok.. maybe I lost ya, sorry..hahaha

I forgot to mention they were parked and he walked in front of my car and had ask me to stop and it was in my neighbor hood. no wer close to a main road. prolly another 150-200 yards till ya get out of the neighborhood
i had a run in with kennesaw police last night... well actually 6 of them but thats a whole other story...
I go threw my neigborhood stop signs at 20-30mph and I have yet to hit another car. Those cops are tripping. Keep a portable 3hp vacuum cleaner next time they come to your window you suck one their eyeballs out. I would. You're good as grapes, dont worry about a thing.
Man speakin of having "gadgets" in cars.. Right b4 I left Germany the cops on base all got the Maglight flashlight, that has a built in breathlyzer. They jus press the button on top and it picks up ANY trace of alcohol. Don't even have to blow in, you would never know if they didn't show it off to us...Kinda crazy when I first saw it. Any know if the states PoPo are gettin those?
