^the # of people working for minimum wage is not the issue.^ if it was there would be no reason to raise it in the 1st place b/c so few actually make it. the real issue is "WHAT" they make working for that minimum wage. this big of a raise will cause the cost of most of the everyday stuff we make to grow in cost or(if it can) get outsourced to a place like China or India where people will work for pennies on the dollar to produce the same item.
