Thread: Issues

    Default Issues

I have been having idling issues for the past couple of weeks. I decided today that I would check out my plugs. This is what I found. This is plug number 3 and 4. All of the plugs aren't even 5 months old. They are probably three months old. The idling is horrible if I could upload a video I would. If I'm driving I experience no issues at all the car picks up like a stock KA would. Anyone with any info..

I am not an expert by any mean but that looks normal to me OR maybe rich(which i doubt but just saying) is not carbon fouling and it does not look like oil fouling, i dont list other plug readings because the rest dont look no way near those.

    hope it helps

They look ok, what is it doing at idle?

At idle it wants to cut off. The rpm gauge just floats between 700 then dips to maybe 300 it does this unless I keep my foot on the gas. I have done some research it might be IAC.

Check your intake manifold gasket by spraying brake clean between the area where the intake manifold meets the head. If the idle changes when you spray the brake clean in a certain area you know the gasket is bad there. I have had this problem with an altima that I worked on before. Changed the gasket and it fixed the idle issues. Just an idea from my experience that I have had.

The plugs look fine to me, and yea maybe your iacv is that problem since that is very important to the idle, maybe is just dirty.

Dude try cleaning up your throttle body and iacv with tb cleaner. I know the iacv is a pain in the butt to get to on the ka but it might solve the problem just by cleaning it.

    Good luck.
