I got this motor from a girl in Knoxville about a month ago. She said it ran good for her the 3 times she drove the car, never smoked or anything, then she parked it in favor of a 350 SBC swap. The motor was a little dirty on the outside but the cylinder walls still have plenty of crosshatching. I have taken the head off, but haven't broken the internals loose yet. I've got the oil pan and timing cover off. New timing kit, new oil pan gasket, and it should be ready to go. I was going to re-ring it just for the hell of it and put new bearings in it but it should be ready to rock as is, just wanted to freshen it up.

You can come pick it up in Chattanooga for what I paid in gas to go get it, $50. Also the P79 head is for sale for $50.

With an N42 or E31/E88 head, this motor would make app 10.5:1 compression and make the car a REAL screamer.

The header is just a 6-2-1, probably from MSA. It's in good shape, just had some surface rust. I did do the electolysis with the water/washing soda solution and a battery charger and it actually did remove the rust. It's in great shape, ready to finish cleaning off, paint, and install.
