This is for a carputer that is basically a windows xp media center that functions through the stock equipment + additional subwoofer and is an mp3 player, media center, navigation unit, dvd player, etc and all touch screen. The screen will only fit in a 2003/2004 G35s the way the kit is designed. The car also has to be without Navi (obviously for mounting room). This is basically a PC that hibernates when until you turn the car off (there is a power control module that "presses the power button" when the car is turned off/on. I'm not on here too much so email me at [email protected] if you have questions. The PC resumes Here's what it is....
1x IBM Thinkcenter workstation small form factor PC
-500 GB hard drive
-DVD Player
-P4 1.8 Ghz processor
-512 GB memory
-Soundblaster 32 bit audio card (for better than onboard quality)
1x Xenarc touch screen (7.5" monitor) in custom built/framed metal housing that folds away into the dash where factory navigation usually housed. Screen manually folds and rests back in the dash where it is stored out of sight if you want to make it invisible.
1x PAC Integration Unit (so the PC plays over one of the satellite channels). this allows you to keep factory radio/cd functions and thus steering wheel controls remain functional.
1x PAC Amplifier Unit (this provides your factory radio with RCA preouts to power an additional amplifier
1x JL Audio 12W3 Subwoofer in great shape, works fine.
1x Coleman Power inverter to power the computer and other required equipment in the trunk.
1x MTX Thunder 280. Amp powers subwoofer and is running 4 ohm bridged for about 300 watts on JL 12.
1x Navigation reciever. It uses iNavigation so if you have a coupe without navi, you'll have it now.
This also includes all of the equipment to make this install drop right in any other G35 coupe. Includes mounting panel, custom enclosure in tire well to maximize trunk space and some help with the install if you're local, I'll help you get it all in and running.
On the PC: 80GB of music, I can remove it if you like and install all your MP3s onto the hard drive. There is also a DVD player (I usually keep Incubus @ Red Rocks in the drive). On the drive is also have all seasons of Top Gear, all seasions of Robot Chicken and about 100 movies I ripped from DVD's that I own.
In the Dash: There are 2 switches by the shift boot, one operates a high power fan on the amp motherboard to keep you bumpin in the summertime. The other is connected to the power line to the PC. If there is an issue with the PC or software and you can't get out, flip the second switch to hard boot. There is also a USB port in the dash for a thumb drive so you can always add new music/files to the hard drive.
Price: 1100 OBO (the screen alone retails for 500+).
Install: I'm happy to help install a car to car type thing.
Shipping: Due to the size and amount of parts, I can break this up and ship out certain parts to certain places but I won't ship the entire unit. Only for pickup/delivery in the Atlanta area.
