NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT to overpriced for the rarity of condition and cleanliness of this vehicle. You really should see it in person to appreciate it and know exactly what it is, before you pass judgement.

Also, it is NOT illegal to own a Skyline (or any other car for that matter) that is not titled and tagged. There are thousands of race, drag, drift, autocross, etc. etc. cars that are not titled nor registered in any form or fashion.

Of course, It is against the law to drive it on the street, just like it is to drive ANY car on the street that is not properly tagged with a license plate. Again, this car can be titled and made "street legal" so you can get a plate for it and drive it all you want. If you don't know how to do that, google it or give me a call, I know people who can get it done for you. There are lots of foreign cars in the US that have been made legal and have legal plates, I'm sure you are aware of that.

FYI...dealers can drive ANY car on the street, without license plates, simply by putting their dealer tag on the back. Their cars are for sale, without ownership paperwork, and therefore not required to be registered and tagged with the DMV.

People should really know ALL the facts and information before blindly posted in a listing that doesn't affect nor concern them.

For your reading pleasure that these are now currently illegal to register again. The government is sending out letters to owners and seizing them, no joke. This is not limited to California. Until this is challenged in court, this is the current state of things.
Here we have yet another misinformed poster that doesn't know the facts. LOL....no, not at all. Those GTRs are being confiscated because they were brought in illegally in parts and then reassembled as kit cars by Kaizo. Not to mention, CA is a heavily EPA regulated state because of the cars and smog issues, so cars over there have to pass extensive EPA standards that other cars in other states do not have to meet. That is why there are lots of regular domestic cars that cannot be registered in CA because they don't meet those requirements.

If you go ahead and actually read and understand the article on that website, you will see:

"...officers are seizing grey market Nissan Skyline GT-Rs imported by Kaizo..."

More importantly: "In this case, the cars were imported by Kaizo under a special exemption for automotive parts. They brought over the shells and drivetrains separately and then reassembled them. They were then, apparently, registered under the law as SB 100, which is for kit/show cars."

This is not one of those as this car has never been cut, never been disassembled, and doesn't have the "Kaizo Kit VIN" badge that they all had. THis R32 has been in the states for many years, at least 4-5, because it has been in a private collection in Atlanta, adult owned and rarely driven.

Thanks for the incorrect information.....and the bump!

All you had to do is READ the article and understand what it was saying, PLUS search the web and read the rest of the story and history.

There are HUNDREDS of Skylines all throughout the US...the Govt isn't saying Skylines are illegal, that are saying Kaizo's actions were illegal and they just happen to involve RHD Skylines. Had Kaizo been importing German made VW bugs illegally and badging them as kit cars, the headline would have read "Feds seive VW Bugs...." And then one would sound just as silly for saying "I'm not buying any European VW bug until they get it worked out." Its not the car, its the importer.

So it doesn't matter if you want a RHD Fairlady, Skyline, Silvia, WRX, or even a Yugo....all those other cars are legal to buy, own, and legal to drive if you get them properly titled and tagged....the Govt went after Motorex for illegal importing and badging and now they are doing the same to Kaizo.

I'd hope the new R35 might be only $60k in 2 years, but I doubt it will, imo.
