Default TW 95 se built sr 360hp

i am testing the water on my 95 se. i love the car and its really fun losing traction at 70mph on cool nights, but i think im ready for something else.

1995 nissan 240sx with a pretty much fully built sr. The car has 189k miles on the chassis but only around 7500 on the motor..the car on a street tune made 360hp and 330tq on 20psi (tuned fat)...it also ran a 12.3 at 112 in 1/4 mile...this car has a lot more potential with a bigger charger retune and head port and polished you would be looking close to 650hp.

Its damn near impossible to bring an out of state salvaged vehicle into the state of GA. You have to have it reinspected, and technically you have to be certified to put it through inspection. Not only that, but the car can not be driven to the inspection because it is not legal to be on the road. Not to mention the inspection is/was $250.

I know there are loopholes, but it is what I have been told by people at the DMV office. They said its not worth your time or money to bring in an out of state salvage vehicle, and from what I have seen firsthand they are damn right.

the car is legal in tennessee and i drive it, the title is not salvage title, its rebuilt title.....rebuilt and inspected already.

But it was rebuilt per Tennessee standards, not GA standards. Any car that has been salvaged and is brought into the state of GA has to be re-inspected in this state, whether its already rebuilt or not. Different states have different standards.

Not doubting the car, just not wanting anyone to get the car and SURPRISE, here comes a long drawn out process. Car is nice and seems to be well built, just elaborating on the title issue for you since you cannot tell us what GA salvage requirements are since you are in TN.

Im out of the thread. GLWS.

Thanks Pat, I was considering this car, but sounds like a pain to get this thing legal. I've had enough of illegal cars (this hatch was a pain)... NEXT!

lol did you get those zits all cleared up? hey pat wtf happened to you getting out of my thread? its pretty lame (for lack of better words) that your going on other peoples fs threads and trying to mess things up for people! i could understand if i failed to disclose the title being REBUILT but it is REBUILT and was inspected hince it doesnt say salvage, and this was disclosed its no secret. MY CAR HAS A REBUILT TITLE AND WAS INSPECTED IN TENNESSEE AND IS FULLY LEGAL! so pat gtfo. also pat mentioned that if it does have to be inspected its only 250 bucks...i dont think it will have to be inspected. and evan i wouldnt sell you this car if you smacked me with the cash......i dont sell fast cars to dumb pizza faced kids who are gonna crash themselves out. btw my clutch cost more than your entire car books for. have a great day guys!

ps. it doesnt matter how much you two try and bash my car 1. the price will not go down 2. it will sell 3. it will be a cold day in hell before i would sell it to either of you two @ssholes.

OMGWOW. my 1992 civic books for like what, $1500? Book doesn't compensate for a swapped and tucked car, fucktard.
Crash? I've been in one wreck and it wasn't my fault by any means.

man i'm sorry but i'm not busting your thread....ga used to be a wash state thats why there are soooo many rhd cars here....they changed all the state laws here in ga 2 or 3 years ago. unless you have all the paperwork and most importantly the pics to go with it you MOST likely will not get a ga title for it...and in most counties a normal person cant even take it for inspection it has to be taken by someone who does this so it would cost money for them to so it and you still have no guarantee to get a title after you pay em to get it inspected

i'm not sayint it wasnt done right and i'm not saying it isnt a perfect car. fact is, more than likely, it got a light hit and instead of getting it fixed the owner took lower money from the insurance to just get out of the car when it was never really badly crashed at all. but, regardless, it had to have a slavage put on it for them to get their money and unfortunately mightve screwed it for a ga title. it's hard to even get title's for custom hotrods anymore

i have no doubt you can sell because it appears to be a VERY nice car but it will have to go to someone else in tn, or sc, or va.....but in all likelyhood not to someone in ga

No, you failed to miss the point here. I HAVE LOOKED INTO THIS BEFORE, IT WILL HAVE TO BE INSPECTED. When bringing in a rebuilt car from another state, it has to be... Ahh, fuck it, here are quotes from the DMV website for your retarded ass.

And again, I am not trying to "fuck up your sale," just letting you know that its not as easy as signing the title and getting it registered here. Sorry to have to do this to you.

And I dont want to be like every other import on the road and drive a 240. Plus, personally, I think the car is ugly. May have been built well, but I still think its ugly.

And here is more food for thought...

GA and TN inspections are different. Say this car does not pass GA inspections because of whatever reason, then you will have to sell it to someone who is licensed, they will have to rebuild it for you, get it inspected, sell it back. This is exactly what my buddy had to do. I have looked into this and experienced it firsthand, its not easy.
