    It's nice and priced fair but not legal.

    last time that i checked a car can be imported but must pass EPA and customs as a "private street car". It doesn't neccesarily need a substitute vin just to be released from customs as a "private street car". If it made it this far than it had to pass emissions at customs. DOT can give it a new vin....and not use the jdm vin..... the substitute vin plates like the one in fivex684's post i believe,and i might be wrong on this, issued by state. There are many loop holes that can be used when importing a car.Make sure you just don't come on here telling him that it isn't legal and not give him a reason, that just makes you look jealous, give an explanation and dont threadcrap.
