Its actually a pretty powerful cartoon. It is what a lot of people feel about Obama's statement. I have a feeling that statement will carry weight all the way through to the election.

He was right in that anyone who thinks they built an entire business with zero help from anyone, government or otherwise, is selfish and delusional.
With the exception of all of it. The quote in the cartoon isn't even what he said! Lol.
It's funny, I don't see the big guy carrying the bucket labeled "EDUCATION" and "NETWORKING", or the ball and chain labeled "INFRASTRUCTURE".
But what the cartoonist meant was "If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen"

Obama is drawn with huge ears... Trying to make him look monkey-ish.

He was for the first 19 seconds. Someone always has help along the way. Do you really think the construction worker that built the office you are in built your business? No he built the building. How about the guy that put the phone line in? Nope, just another guy. The teacher you had in HS 10 years ago? Nope, you havent seen them since HS. The accountant that balances your books? We have millions of dollars in printing equipment someone else manufactured, our owner cut a check for it. I broke my back installing to make money to buy the necessary tools I need. I now have two crews working for me. In what way, shape, or form did the government or anybody else help me to build what I have? Last time I checked it was my sweat, my sore body, and my busting my butt 72 hours a week that got me where I am.

Somewhere along that line, you had some help. I know this because my dad owns his own construction company. He's the guy that hires you to come do the floors when they build residential units. He had some help along the way. So did you. If you say otherwise, you're an idiot.

Then got a job installing for my uncle. I then hired people to help me. I myself don't purchase any materials, the home owner does, I simply get paid for removal and installation. My truck and tools were an expense, which I bought with my own hard earned money. You lose sir. Sure Gid blessed me with natural talent and with job leads. But He won't work for me, that's on my back. I will finish up and settle this, you say no one builds a business on there own, yet I alone assume all the risk. Bullshit. The artist knew what he was drawing. Blacks have been depictive as monkeys for many years in cartoons and other illustration. If the artist cared so much about the issue he would not even go down that road with the drawing of a monkey, just because he had to know most blacks would take offense to it. Also it doesn't help that it comes from the right and then the right wonders why 95% of Blacks never even look to the conservative side even though they share a lot of the same values when it comes to family and church.

Funny you should bring up affirmative action. Maybe you can explain how preferential treatment combats prefferential treatment.

You have no clue as to what it takes to do either, and are definitely not qualified to give any insightful opinion on the matter, as you do not have any knowledge to convey from the experience of being involved in creation or management of a company.
The government never gave me anything on any of my business ventures. In fact, I paid out fees, taxes, etc to the local, state, and federal governments just to get off the ground. You want to mention infrastructure and roads? Guess what - taxpayers like myself, my parents, my grandparents, etc, all paid for these. The government did not "give" it to us - we paid for it and MANY times over. We, the people, have paid inflated government salaries for these politicians, their pork barrel spending, and their wasteful liberal pet projects. We, the people, have had government abuse its power with poor policies, and we have paid for it. The government doesn't give to the business creator, it takes from it. As any real business owner, and he will tell you the same.
Only kids who have no idea of how the real world works will believe Obama and you.
